Writing and Publications

I have written about furniture design, materials and interior construction, and about the design process.

Furniture Design is a comprehensive and extensive survey textbook on furniture design, published by John Wiley and Sons, 380 pgs. (2007). It has been  translated into Korean (2009). A second and revised edition of the book was published in 2012. The 2nd edition of the book is currently being translated into Chinese.

Materiality and Interior Construction is a 400 pg textbook and resource on materials and materiality used to make interior spaces. Co-authored with Nancy Gesimondo. Published by Wiley and Sons, (2011).

Liner Notes is a 120 pg booklet documenting the creative, working processes of 21 artists and designers.  Published by The Graphic Wire, 2005.

The Greater Cincinnati Basketball Hall of Fame is a self-published booklet documenting the coordination and development of a schematic design for the GCBHF, located in Cincinnati, Ohio at Sawyer Point.  Collaborative design effort with the Cincinnati Recreation Commission (CRC), Greater Cincinnati Basketball Hall of Fame Board (GCBHF), and the University of Cincinnati DAAP / SAID students and faculty.
