Interior renovation of a Motherhouse Chapel and surrounding space / activities for the Sisters of Saint Francis, Tiffin, Ohio.

Concepts include re-building the community through the process of renovating the chapel. The chapel's design developed out of the idea: "how we pray reflects who we are".

Values of inclusion and accessibility, held by the Tiffin Franciscans, are spatially-realized through a sequence of open, flowing spaces - all of which contribute to the allegory and metaphor of an interior landscape and garden. Design values include: accessibility, inclusion, and community renewal.

The renovation resulted in liturgical and social renewal for the Sisters of Saint Francis and generated custom furnishings and interior millwork with a high degree of craftsmanship.
